This page is designed to provide speakers and volunteers with everything they need to make their experience with us as smooth and productive as possible. Thank you in advance for sharing your time and wisdom with this year's students.
This October, Glen Veterinary is hosting a five-day active learning experience for 30 Transition Year students, facilitated by Savvy Teens, in their Tipperary Clinic. Students will get hands on experience in the veterinary practice, meet industry experts and learn about the ways the practice engages with the local community.
Savvy Teens will equip students with the industry specific and transferable skills to meet the programme's demands through various active learning sessions. Students will work independently and in groups to complete daily assignments, culminating in a final showcase.
As speakers, you will have the opportunity to help students understand the veterinary practice, inspire the next generation of veterinary leaders and inspire new ways of thinking.
Thank you for volunteering your time and expertise to help shape the future workforce.
The commitment of speakers is to share their knowledge, experience, and expertise with the students who are eager to learn from professionals in their field. This commitment involves taking the time to speak to students about your career path, industry trends, and best practices. Your commitment is an invaluable contribution to the entire experience.

On behalf of the team, I want to take the opportunity to thank you very much for rolling out a hugely successful TY program this week. The students did a fantastic job on their report presentations and I don’t know what level of powers you have but the difference in the students from the opening meeting to the closing meeting was phenomenal.
